2010 Ministry Volunteer Program

Thank and praise God for His wonderful guidance! 42 youths from around the country participated in MVP 2010 in Garden Grove from July 12th to July 21st. Throughout the ten days, they were trained and served God in various ways and spent quality time in prayer and fellowship. Each MVP participant served in one of the following project teams:

  1. e-Library: Participants worked on various aspects of e-Library content management, including formatting, uploading, and indexing web content.
  2. Fellowship Games: Participants created Bible board games (e.g. Taboo), came out with questions and answers from the Bible, designed the cards and game pieces, and purchased necessary materials to assemble the game.
  3. RE Audio Lessons: Participants developed and recorded E1 lesson audio files to be used to teach E1 students in remote areas that lack RE teachers.
  4. RE Textbook Graphic Design: Participants designed new graphics for E1 lesson manuals.
  5. Servitude Guide: Participants contributed to the creation (content and layout) of a collection of servitude-related testimonies and experiences to serve as a guide for youths beginning and/or continuing in their church service.
  6. Spanish Ministry: Participants helped advance the work of the Spanish Ministry in the US by taking advantage of their creative, technical, and linguistic skills to train for volunteering opportunities in the areas of interpretation, translation, web design, graphic design, and audio/media management, among others.

We hope that the youths were edified and strengthened in their servitude and that they will continue to grow in their service to God. May the Lord continue to guide us and have mercy on us!
